N44 is a very special nebula when it comes to the appearance of a 'super bubble' - a dark and mysterious void in the middle.

Nebulae are some of the most impressive structures we see in the universe. N44, one of these dust and gas structures, is a very special nebula. It has a "super-bubble" - a large, dark space in the middle that makes it look like a log that has been gouged out.

A new Hubble Telescope image reveals the strangeness of N44, which lies 177,000 light-years from Earth and spans over 1,000 light-years.

"The crater is 250 light-years across and its presence remains a mystery , " NASA said in a November 2 announcement.

Scientists have offered several explanations. Accordingly, it is possible that the stellar wind from the stars in this "bubble " pushed the gas out, but the data on this wind pattern do not seem to support this idea.

"Because inside the nebula are massive stars and it will end its life in a spectacular explosion, another possibility is the expanding shell of old supernova explosions. created the structure , " NASA said. There are remnants of at least one supernova explosion near this "super bubble" .

Hubble is a joint project of NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA). This telescope has been observing the universe for the past 30 years, and due to a minor technical error, it had to suspend scientific observations. NASA and ESA hope to get the telescope back up and running soon so that it can collect images and data of cosmic wonders like N44.
