This persistent heat wave, according to DBKTTV Center, has just ended in North Vietnam on July 24, with the highest temperature of 35-36 degrees Celsius. However, Central Vietnam is also affected perhaps by today. , July 26 with a temperature of 35-38 degrees C.

What makes climate climbers a headache is why in the meantime it is said that Vietnam is in the area affected by La Nina (strong activity of cold sea currents leads to a decrease in air temperature), Since May until now, the hot sun has been fierce and persistent even for many years.

Previously, right from January, according to the Institute of Hydrometeorology, our country's temperature reached the highest level in the past 20 years. In February, the national average temperature reached the highest level in the last 100 years. The paradox is that in the first three months of the year with record high temperatures, the total number of sunshine hours across the country is 1-250 hours less than many years. In contrast, the total water evaporation exceeds the 1-100mm standard.

Then in the early summer, 24/5, Nam Dong district (Thua Thien-Hue) was 39 degrees Celsius and Bao Lac district (the northern border province of Cao Bang) reached 39.3 degrees Celsius. in Quy Hop and Cua Rao (Nghe An), hot weather reaches 40.1oC and 40oC. By April 1, Cua Rao area was 42.2 degrees Celsius. On April 23, Tay Hieu (also Nghe An) recorded a record temperature of 43 degrees C.

Some centers for forecasting climate in the world said that from now until September, the temperature in most areas of our country continues to be higher than the same period of many years. What is difficult to understand is that the judgment is based on the forecast that La Nina will develop in the next three months. The possibility of hot sunshine over the same period every year in the next three months is highest in most of the Northern region and most of the South.

The Vietnam Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology predicts that localities may be hotter in the same period every year, including: Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Bac Ninh, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Tri and the Western Highlands region.

Along with the hotter weather every year, rain in the next three months is also forecast to be more in most areas of the country. Heavy rains may occur in most of the northern mountainous area bordering China, some parts of the Eastern Highlands, most of the southern Central region, and part of the South West region.
