Inside the church contains the tomb of Jesus

The Church of the Holy Sepulcher is built on the tomb of Jesus, a sacred place that is important for Christians.

Conservation began at the end of October 2016, marking the first time in history that all marble slabs were turned up. A thick layer of dust beneath the grave. Scientists were surprised when the structure of the cave was as pristine as it was at the time, the archaeologist Fredrik Hiebert of National Geographic, an excavation team member who was the first to open the grave, said. The workers flipped open the marble slab over the "burial bed" , where Jesus rested after being executed.
