Intel reduced price of quad core chips by 50%
The 2.4GHz Quad6600 / sk775 / 1066 cache is currently available for retail for over $ 200. But a week ago, the price of this component was 450 USD. The price reduction has stimulated domestic shopping.
Recently, Intel introduced some of the first Core 2 Extreme dual-core mobile processors. Therefore, the company lowered the price of some high-end processing equipment for desktop, mobile and old servers.
Besides Quad6600, Core 2 Duo E4400 also dropped 15% to 113 USD, Pentium E2140 dropped 3 USD to 71 USD and Celeron D sold 34 USD, lower than the old price of 5 USD.
Two quad-core chips for servers that are "sold cheap" include: Xeon X3220 is currently about 266 USD and X3210 is 224 USD (previously 423 USD).
Mobile device chips are down 20% from the old price. Celeron M 530 from 134 USD reduced to 107 USD and M 520 is currently at 86 USD.
Because of recent times, many consumers have not upgraded computers, hesitating to wait for Intel to reduce prices, so the company hopes that the new price policy will quickly boost hardware sales.
According to consumers, some domestic enterprises have not changed the list price. However, at major computer companies, this discount has stimulated the shopping demand very quickly. Some businesses said that in the past few days, the consumption of computers with Intel chips has been reduced by about 20%.
