Husky dogs have many different names such as Chukcha, Chuksha, Husky, Icee, Sibe or Husky Arctic. Although derived from the fierce Arctic wolf, the Husky breed is extremely friendly to humans and other species.

Husky is an active, aggressive and supple dog breed that comes from the cold and harsh environment of the Siberian Arctic region. The Husky Siberia breed is used by Chukchi people in Northeast Asia to pull long-distance heavy loads through rough terrain.

They were imported into Alaska in the fever of finding Nome gold and then brought to the US and Canada. Originally in Alaska and Canada, they were used as sled dogs but quickly became family pets and performance dogs. Because they are an effective working dog, most are bred to be able to withstand long working days with a small amount of food.

General features
