Iran launches the satellite as tensions are rising

AFP quoted Iranian official news agency IRNA said that the February 3 country had successfully launched a satellite observing Earth's orbit on February 3, and this is Iran's third satellite launch from the year. 2009.

According to AFP , 50kg satellites will stay in orbit for 18 months and send images to the center every 90 minutes. The preparation for the launch has lasted for 2 years.

Iranian media said President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also attended the launch of the satellite and said: "This is the beginning of the great labor . keeping the promise of solidarity for all mankind."

This is the third Iranian self-made satellite launched into orbit using the Safir missile. The previous two launches were in February 2009 and July 2011. On those two occasions, the satellites stayed in orbit for 2-3 months.

According to AFP , Iran's space program worries Western countries, worrying that Iran will use the technology to launch missiles with nuclear warheads.

The launch of Navid satellite was carried out on the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic revolution, as well as in the context of increasing tension on its nuclear program, between the country and the United States and Israel.
