According to the Department of Preventive Medicine, the Ministry of Health, two passengers leaving from Nigeria on August 18 and entering Vietnam on the afternoon of August 19 at Quatar Airway's flight number QR964 from Qatar. In addition to fever, these two people have no other symptoms.

The Ministry of Health has directed to bring two passengers to the quarantine area of Ho Chi Minh City Tropical Hospital to conduct isolation, monitoring, inspection and health care according to regulations; take blood samples for testing. The Department of Preventive Medicine, Ho Chi Minh City Pasteur Institute collaborated with the Office of the World Health Organization and the American Center for Disease Control to send samples for testing.
These passengers sit in seats 25B and 26D. In order to proactively prevent disease, the Ministry of Health also recommends that guests sit in rows of seats 24, 25, 26, 27 on the active flight to the nearest medical facility or contact phone number 0989 671 115 for guidance on preventive measures and health monitoring. The ministry also sent a list of passengers sitting on the seat numbers to the localities to continue monitoring.
