iTunes sells movies from the LHP Sundance ... $ 1.99
Sundance Film Festival will join the craze called iTunes, with the sale of 32 out of 71 films competing this year for only $ 1.99 / movie.
However, the handshake between Sundance Institute and Apple Inc. How successful is still a big question, partly because all 32 movies will be shown for free on Sundance's official website from now until April 18th.
In iTunes, they will start selling from January 22 for a period of 3 years, with "promotion" content being interviews with film crews and soundtrack.

" I always think that if you really care about cinema, people should pay more attention to the short films of independent filmmakers. This is really a sign for the creative trend in the future. "The president of Sundance Institute, actor Robert Redford said.
Under the agreement, iTunes will enjoy 30% of the revenue from each movie sold. 67% will go to film makers while Sundance Institute and film festival organizers will share the rest. Filmmakers still keep the entire copyright and can sell movies to other services, as well as extract movies from iTunes anytime they want.
Notably, in the sold films there is a German "Motodrom" mock documentary and "One Rat Short," an animated film that tells a rat man who falls in love with a lab rat.
According to Redford, the idea of cooperation began to arise after the 2006 Sundance filmmakers offered to release their films more widely. And immediately, Apple jumped in.
" This is just a pilot project, but it will definitely create a revolution, a transformation for independent cinema ," Redford said. As for Apple, the contract once again affirmed its ambition to go deeper into its entertainment and media territory, especially after Apple has just hit the market with two new products: phones iPhone and iTV receiver.
