Japan helps Vietnam protect the environment

Instead of just helping big businesses like before, Japan will focus on supporting Vietnam in technology and training in environmental protection to small and medium enterprises and even households.

Mr. Hidehiko Yamachika of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI) said the same during the policy dialogue on the Green Aid program between Vietnam and Japan on the snore of May 16 in Hanoi.

There are more than 100 wastewater treatment stations in Vietnam operating under Japanese technology; 23 courses were held in Japan with more than 500 Vietnamese students including local leaders, officials of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, representatives of industrial parks and associations. Japanese experts also helped to train more than 2,000 local students on techniques of treating environmental pollution .

In particular, Japan has helped Vietnam implement a number of sample projects such as the Cua Ong coal sorting project (Quang Ninh) by cooperating with Vietnam to recover surplus coal, instead of pouring out excess coal into the sea. dengoures. This work both contributes to energy conservation and environmental protection.

Japan also had a model support program for Thanh Hoa Brewery in bringing experts and equipment to help treat the environment and save energy and achieve good results.

Within the framework of the Green Aid program of Japan, Vietnam's Ministry of Industry proposes to replicate the energy saving models of Japan in Vietnam.
