Japan prepares to launch a fourth intelligence radar satellite

The Japan Aerospace Research, Development Agency (JAXA) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Company on November 27 said they will launch a fourth intelligence radar with an H-2A rocket on 27th. 1/2013.

If successfully launched, Japan will have two satellites of this type active and able to photograph objects with diameters from 1m or more at night and through clouds.

According to the Japan Cabinet Satellite Information Center, the agency responsible for operating these two satellites and three optical satellites was launched in the period of 2006-2011, the satellite has the same capabilities as defense. The third planet was launched into space last year.

The first two satellites of this type stopped working due to technical problems.

The Japanese government introduced intelligence satellites after the Korean rocket launch in 1998.
