The International Medical Action Alliance (ALIMA) is currently conducting clinical trials of Avigan drugs in the Southeastern Guinea Nzerekore treatment center, which indicates mortality in patients with low levels of virus in the blood or The average decreased from 30% to 15%.
However, if the viral load is high, the drug is not effective. The Guinea government has approved the use of Avigan in treatment centers across the country.
Evaluating the effectiveness of Avigan's drug on Ebola, the World Health Organization (WHO) spokesman said that data needed to come to a clearer conclusion.
So far, Avigan is being used for a portion of patients in Europe and America. There are currently no reports of side effects in clinical trials for 80 patients in Guinea. Unlike other Ebola dengue drugs, Avigan is relatively cheap and in sufficient quantity for mass treatment.
