Japanese Robot performs in Vietnam

Unique performances of wrestling robots, acrobatics, playing piano or robot soccer ball from Japan, making many Vietnamese admire.

Nearly 300 people present at the Hall of FPT University on August 13 witnessed robots that behave like real people: Robots football (Robovie-X), Sumo wrestling robots (Robovie-I) and Robot can introduce itself in English (Vision 4G). After each performance of the robot is the endless applause of the Vietnamese audience.

Vietnam is the first Southeast Asian country to witness a demonstration of robots using the Android operating system on a journey through many countries around the world.

According to the organizers, the show facilitates Vietnamese students to witness the most advanced robotics technology in Japan today, students will gain knowledge about artificial intelligence, Design software for robots, robot applications in life.

Participating in the program, Vietnamese audiences also met with Hiroshi Ishiguro, a famous robot designer at Osaka University, who was named one of the 100 living geniuses of the world. He has devoted much of his time and effort to developing a close-to-life Android operating system called "Geminoids".

Professor Ishiguro said that the use of the above robots would be of great use. They can be used in many places such as fairs, reception areas, exhibitions, he even uses them to replace lectures.

"Vietnam has the potential to produce robots and in the future there will be many Japanese companies and countries that will place orders here. Especially with diligent and careful virtues, Vietnam will surely succeed" , he said. Ishiguro emphasized.

After Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City is the next destination for Japanese experts. Next they will turn to Southeast Asian countries to introduce. The concert was organized by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam and FPT University.
