Beautiful robot teaches Japanese in Vietnam
Robot Geminoid F, who has the same movements and expressions as real people, started teaching Japanese in the classroom in Hanoi last week.

This beautiful robot was developed by the research team of Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro of Osaka University. 12 points on the robot face including the mouth, eyes and cheeks, controlled by air pressure, to create expressions similar to humans.

"When people come into contact with robots, people will be less anxious than they are when they come in contact with strangers. They feel that robots are more friendly and will be easier to talk to, so it is suitable for learning a foreign language , " Tokyo Times said Mr. Ishiguro.
Operators can control Geminoid F via the Internet, so the class can be controlled from Japan or anywhere.
In a classroom in Hanoi, robots are controlled by a Japanese teacher from another room. The expressions and movements of the real teacher are analyzed and transmitted to the computer by the computer to imitate.
About 40 students have learned many conversations from this robot. Communication in the classroom feels like they are talking directly to robots.
Vietnam is the first country to use beautiful robotics in teaching Japanese. The program is practiced by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam to promote Japanese language learning in Vietnam.
