Japanese study: Life expectancy can be improved by improving lifestyle
To conduct the study, a research team from Osaka University in Japan spent 21 years following 120,000 people, thereby concluding that a number of healthy living habits are closely related to longevity.

The results of the study, published on May 11 this year, show that even after the age of 80, both men and women can improve their life expectancy by improving certain lifestyle habits. Research shows that the longevity effects of this lifestyle change are particularly pronounced in patients with a variety of lifestyle-related illnesses. For example, a person with 3 or more lifestyle-related diseases can increase their life expectancy by 8.7 years at the age of 50; 7.2 years at age 65; and 3.8 years at the age of 80.
These beneficial living habits include: eating fresh fruit and fish daily, eating dairy products at least 5 days a week, exercising for at least 1 hour or walking for at least 30 minutes a week, Drink less than 360ml of alcohol per day, don't smoke and maintain a daily sleep of 5.5 - 7.4 hours.
But research also shows that improving and maintaining healthy living habits does not mean replacing the treatment of related diseases, the best option for people with diseases related to living habits is to improve More scientific living habits combined with maintaining disease treatment.
