Launching backup solution 100 times faster

Symantec has just launched the optimal backup solution for Vietnamese businesses, which helps reduce 80% of operating costs with a speed of 100 times faster than today.

Alex Ong, senior director of Symantec Vietnam, said: 'When the volume of information is growing at a dizzying rate, the IT budget of many organizations in Vietnam does not increase correspondingly, even shrinking. Meanwhile, a continuous business model requires information to be provided on-demand, meaning that users want to be able to quickly access their data and applications. Therefore, organizations are now under increasing pressure to protect more information, with fewer resources, and still have to meet more stringent demands on service level agreements ( SLAs) ".

According to Symantec's 2011 survey of disaster recovery readiness of small and medium enterprises in Vietnam.Businesses really do not consider disaster preparedness a top priority until they encounter data loss or disaster problems.

Up to 30% of the surveyed units in Vietnam do not have a disaster preparedness plan and up to 50% of units say that disaster response is not a priority for them. The data from the survey shows that the cost of damage to the unavailability of disaster preparedness is quite high, which may lead to a halt of business operations.

Symantec's new solution includes NetBackup 7.5 and Backup Exec 2012 to help Vietnamese SMEs modernize information protection, allowing to reduce up to 80% of backup operation costs at 100 times faster than today.

These two solutions have been used by more than 2 million customers around the world and effectively solve the common backup problems today.
