Leopard failed to hide prey
A young leopard hunted a large prey and tried three times to bring it up a tree to hide it but failed .
The leopard slowly led the antelope up the tree.
The moment the leopard tried to steal its prey was captured by Vincent Adami, a nature lover in Kruger Park, South Africa. He spent many hours in the bush and recorded the footage.
Vincent Adami saw the leopard cub lying next to its prey, still apparently exhausted from the hunt.
After a short rest, the leopard stood up and began dragging the impala towards the nearest tree. Compared to the leopard, the impala was huge. Despite its prey being almost twice its size, the leopard slowly lifted it up the tree. However, it fell down shortly afterwards.
The leopard persisted and tried again after each fall. On the third attempt, the leopard tried its best but failed. This time the prey did not fall to the ground but got stuck on a tree stump protruding from the base of the tree. The leopard had no choice but to enjoy its prey on the spot.
