On November 2, a series of Central American countries were engulfed in the rain. In Honduras, flooding caused at least 46 people to die and 16 others to disappear. In France, the red alert command is maintained in the eastern central provinces due to heavy rain and landslides while the Italian city of Venise is submerged in the sea.

According to Honduras rescue forces at the end of November 2, in addition to the number of people who died and disappeared, nearly 40,000 people were struggling with floods, including more than 7,000 people who were evacuated, but according to preliminary estimates. The ministry has nearly 300,000 people affected by this disaster.

The Honduran government has announced a 24-hour red alert in many eastern, northern and southern provinces, while maintaining an orange alert command in many other provinces. Earlier, the government issued a state of emergency and requested international assistance to overcome natural disasters.

In addition to Honduras, rains were pouring down to many other countries in the region on weekends like Costa Rica, Belize, Nicaragua, Salvador and Guatemala. According to Elisabeth Byrs, a spokesman for the UN Office of Humanitarian Affairs, this is the worst flood in recent years in Central America.

Floods also appear in many parts of Europe. In France, the red alert command is maintained in five eastern central provinces until November 3 due to flooding has not been relieved. Hundreds of people were evacuated and many major traffic routes were congested due to the flooding of the River Loire. Eight other provinces are placed on alert status.

In Marseille, flooding has caused significant material damage. The government has listed dozens of landslides due to heavy rain and hundreds of households losing power and recording at least one missing person while fishing.

In Italy, part of Venise's historical and cultural center was submerged under the water due to heavy rain combined with high tide. Especially in the famous Saint Marc square, visitors have to cram together on the pedestrian bridge system .
