Mars used to have a lot of CO2-proof of life

Scientists from the US Aeronautics Agency (NASA) have discovered that Mars once existed a lot of CO2. This is evidence that reinforces the hypothesis of life that once existed on the Red Planet.

>>> Mars surface exists organic matter

The team said they found layers of rock containing carbonate minerals at depths of a few kilometers below the surface of Mars. Previously, scientists also found a small amount of this substance on the surface of the Red Planet. This may be evidence that life once existed on Hoa star millions of years ago.

Scientists used satellite observations of Mars to analyze the geological conditions of Layton Crater near the largest volcanic region on Mars Syrtis Major . This volcanic area is about 1,200 km wide.

After analyzing the data collected, the scientists discovered a large amount of carbonate minerals widely distributed at a depth of about 6.4 km in the Layton crater. The team thinks that these minerals are buried under such depth because of volcanic eruptions in the area Syrtis Major millions of years ago.

According to scientists, the most likely carbonate minerals are derived from water containing large amounts of carbonate. Therefore, scientists believe that volcanoes at the beginning of the formation period are much hotter than our speculation.

" The discovery of hydrate minerals in some volcanic craters on Mars suggests that there may have existed living activities on the Red Planet because these are necessary conditions for a living organization " Paul Niles, of NASA's Johnson Space Center and a member of the research team, said.
