It is a test program called Office Genuine Advantage (OGA), including 7 languages (Bazil, Portuguese, Czech, Turkish, Korean, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish). The OGA program will automatically confirm if the version of Microsoft Office installed on the user's computer is "genuine".

The OGA program has been tested with certain people in several countries, but Microsoft has refused to release relevant information.

OGA is part of the Genuine Software Initiative (GSI) initiative proposed by Microsoft to minimize copyright infringement. Microsoft also launched a part of this initiative called Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) since July 2005.

WGA automatically checks whether the customer has a licensed Windows version when using one of Microsoft services such as Windows Updates, Microsoft Update and Microsoft Download Center. So far 150 million PCs globally have undergone WGA testing.
