Microsoft renamed Windows AntiSpyware to Windows Defender
Microsoft has just announced that its anti-spyware tool is called Microsoft Antispyware from now on to be changed to Windows Defender .
When officially renamed to Windows Defender , this ' Made in Microsoft ' security tool will be added with many other security features such as scanning for rootkits (a type of spyware with the nature of trojans, high more than regular spyware), keyboard and virus loggers, etc.
Microsoft said that Windows Defender will be integrated directly into Windows Vista . So until the end of 2006, those who loved Windows Antispyware had a chance to use a comprehensive upgrade to their favorite security tool.
Microsoft will continue to upgrade Windows AntiSpyware in January 2006, but it is unclear whether Microsoft will release a separate version of Windows Defender for XP users after launching Windows Vista .
