Microsoft tested the video search service

Microsoft has quietly added video search functionality to its Windows Live search engine.

New feature (trial version) allows users to search for video clips based on related keywords. This video search function is available at: http://beta.search.live.com/video/

The results displayed will be in the form of a video snapshot, and when clicked, the user will be redirected to the inner video content. Each video has a brief introduction.

And so, Microsoft joined Google, Yahoo, and AOL in providing online video search services.

It is known that Microsoft renamed MSN search engine Windows Live in the roadmap to promote the development of Web-based services, which was launched in November 2005.
