Google improves the Online Video service
Posting and sharing video clips via the internet will become easier with the new version of Google Video service, after a series of adjustments that have been conducted by the Search Giant.
Not accepting being obscured by a tiny company like YouTube.com in the field of online video, Google has pioneered research and "triggered" a series of improvements.
Until last night, to upload a video clip to Google's site, users need to install a special software on their computer.
However, at present, this stage has been removed along with all the troubles it brings.
And yet, to improve the convenience for the service, the time it takes to wait for the video clip uploading on the site to be shortened significantly.
Previously, users often had to wait up to 24 hours to see the video clips uploaded by themselves appear on the service. But according to Peter Chane, Google Video product manager, the new service will allow you to see this video shortly after you send it to Google.
In addition to the discontent for the "dwarf" storm of YouTube.com, the reason why Google hunts for the online video market is because the technology has become more and more popular. Since its debut a year ago, YouTube.com has exploded and become a cultural phenomenon, with more than 40 million video clips watched every day.
Obviously, this will be an extremely fertile advertising market for Google, which earns most of its profits from advertising.
In April alone, YouTube attracted 12.5 million visitors in the US, surpassing all other video services available. Google ranked fourth with 7.3 million visitors, behind Microsoft's MSN and News Corp.'s MySpace.
