Mitsubishi launches new generation screen
Mitsubishi Electronics (Japan) has just launched a product called DiamondTouch, a high-tech computer screen designed as a tabletop.
With this screen, users can work on the computer without using a mouse or keyboard. Users will sit around the table, pointing their finger at the screen (ie the tabletop) to create and control pre-programmed virtual objects. The system will distinguish each person's finger thanks to the current connected to the seats.
DiamondTouch can be used for teaching, gaming and other areas that require quick and direct interaction, especially handy for seniors and non-proficient computer users. Price about 10 thousand USD / piece.
