Modern people have a new ancestor

The discovery of a 30,000-year-old fossil proved that Neanderthals and modern humans are not the only human species on Earth.

According to scientists, this new and mysterious humanity lived with our ancestors 30,000 years ago. They are called caves or Denisovans .

Scientists discovered the new species after studying DNA samples from their teeth and bones found in a cave in Siberia.

These finger bones belong to a five-year-old girl found in the Denisovans cave in the Altai Mountains, southern Siberia in 2008 along with ornaments and jewelry. This girl was nicknamed X (X-Woman) girl.

In addition, many teeth and bones found in the cave belong to other Denisovans. The findings have been revealed earlier this year, but so far scientists have had enough of their DNA analysis.

The researchers also found traces of Denisovans in modern humans living in Melanesia - islands located in the north and east of Australia, including New Guinea. It can be said that the Denisovans have crossed with Melanesia and may have lived very popular in Asia.

" This is a very well preserved hair sample, so it can provide a lot of information. We don't know why, but these DNA are miraculously preserved. " Richard Green from the University of California, Santa Cruz said.

Dr. Green believed that Denisovans and Neanderthals were of African origin, the cradle of humanity. They left Africa about 300,000 and 400,000 years ago and quickly broke up. A branch developed into Neanderthals living popularly in ancient Europe, while other groups moved eastward and became Denisovans.

About 70,000 years ago there was also a wave of migration of modern people when they left Africa. And maybe, our ancestors met with Neanderthals and left the Neanderthals' genetic code in all non-Africans living in the present.

However, there was also a group of people who later exposed Denisovan people and left traces of Denisovans in their DNA, which were settlers in Melanesia.

According to scientists, they lived on Earth at the end of the Ice Age, when the ancestors of modern people developed sophisticated stone tools, jewelry and art.
