ABU Robocon 2014 has a close and meaningful topic of Robot Family to honor and praise parents for their great contributions and contributions to the children - future owners of the country.

Teams competing in Robocon 2014 will have to design and build a 'Robot Family'. This year's stadium will be a park for two teams - two robot families that perform 3 games: Seesaw (seesaw), Pole walk (walking on the column) and Swing (swing). When the sub-robot completes 3 tasks, it can carry out the 4th task at the moving staircase located in the middle of the park. Then, if the robot can wave the flag on the highest point, the team will achieve 'SHABAASH' or the absolute victory.

The big challenge of this year's exam is the implementation of robot transition steps on a more complex game field. Because autonomous machines do not have wheels or crawlers, moving, climbing stairs rely on arms or legs and require good coordination. The robot after being separated from the mother robot (the stairs) must perform many tasks independently such as climbing the top of the stairs without touching the sides of the stairs, waving the flag at the highest point of the robot to Highest score.
