Robocon 2008: 32 final teams in HCMC
From 2-9 June, the final round of the 2008 Robocon competition was held at Military Zone 7 Arena - Ho Chi Minh City. 32 teams competed in the final round to select the winning team, representing Vietnam to attend the international Robocon in India.

The theme of this year's Robocon competition is "Govinda", derived from the Indian legend reminiscent of Lord Krishne and the Dahi -Handi festival that takes place annually in Northern India. The final round of the competition in Ho Chi Minh City will select the winning team representing Vietnam to attend the 2008 Asia-Pacific International Robocon Contest, held in Pune, India in May. 8/2008.
The new feature of the 'Vietnam Robots Creation' competition this time is the first time the participation of 3 colleges with the finalists including: Sao Do Industrial College; College of Transportation 3; College of Industrial and Technical Economics 2.
VND 40 million and USD 1,000 will be awarded to the champion team by the Directorate of Vietnam Television and the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting and Television Association (ABU), which will also represent Vietnam to participate in the competition. international. In addition to a second prize worth VND 25 million, a 3rd prize worth VND 15 million, the Board of Directors of Vietnam Television Station will also award prizes: Best Technology, Ideas, Manual Robot, Best Automatic Robot, and Prize style for participating teams.
