Le Hoang Anh (29 years old, in Da Nang) developed MultiGlass smart glasses to help users just tilt their heads or blink to control the mouse.

In 2015, on the occasion of visiting the Disability Center, the image of young people trying to type each computer key with scarred feet due to repeated practice of typing to connect to the outside world, Hoang Anh thought about manufacturing. supported equipment. Learning about iris recognition technology, he found that if applied, it would be a big step in improving equipment for people with disabilities. The idea of ​​creating smart glasses to help people with disabilities to use computers quickly was developed by him and his colleagues.

After a period of research, in 2016, MultiGlass smart glasses were successfully manufactured. The glasses integrate three technology platforms: iris recognition technology (Multi Iris Recognition) , IoT and artificial intelligence, supporting people with disabilities to use computers with just the movements of the eyes and head.

When used, users only need to tilt their heads in the direction, or winking right and left, the device will control the mouse in the correct gesture instead of having to use a special stick or mouse control with the feet."By integrating iris recognition technology and artificial intelligence, the device can recognize when users blink naturally, when to blink to control the mouse," Hoang Anh said.

In addition to helping people with disabilities use computers, Multiglass can alert drivers to sleepiness 30 minutes in advance, help businesses monitor driver activity, warn drivers of drowsiness, reduce accidents. informed. Glasses are marketed for $ 35 - $ 50, depending on the feature selected by the user. To facilitate the commercialization of products Hoang Anh and two friends co-founded Multi Vietnam Company and registered patents in Vietnam and the US.

In order to have initial success with smart business, Hoang Anh has made bold decisions. Having won the National Prize in Informatics and International Science Contest, Hoang Anh was admitted directly to the University but chose to suspend his studies and work in software outsourcing for technology companies in Saigon and Da Nang. Danang. Despite receiving an internship salary, what Hoang Anh gains is more than life experience and professional knowledge. After four years of experience, he returned to college.

The decision of the 18-year-old boy at that time made his parents surprised. " Thinking back also found myself risking, but thanks to the trust and support of my parents, I feel confident in my decision," Hoang Anh said.

Four years of accumulating certain experience and capital, right from the first year of university, in 2011, Hoang Anh and five college friends opened a startup company specializing in edutech with an application that helps preschool children learn math and english. The company immediately started calling capital successfully from individual investors with an investment of one billion. Although the company earned a profit, the company only maintained for two more years because at that time, he did not have much knowledge about starting a business and lacking guidance to expand the product.

Failure from the first startup did not discourage Hoang Anh. He cherished the start-up flame and launched the smart eyewear product. Hoang Anh said that revenue from MultiGlass products last year reached nearly two million USD, net profit reached nearly 600,000 USD. Up to now, the company has a stable cash flow and intends to expand the scale of domestic and international business, in the future, it will continue to research many new products using Multi Iris technology.
