According to the BBC, after death, the crocodile was embalmed like a mascot offering to the gods, like the fate of many ancient Egyptian animals. This is the first time after 75 years, the British Museum announced this special mummy.

This mummy is one of about 300 specimens discovered in a monument in Kom Ombo - a temple about 50km north of Aswan, Egypt, many years ago. The crocodile is nearly 4 meters long, with mummies on the back of 20 newly hatched young birds.

Together with the Royal Veterinary University of England, the two agencies scanned crocodile mummies, discovering new details about its life and death. In it, the last meal in his life could be a cow, because scientists discovered that the shoulder and front bone were still in its stomach.
