Mysterious tunnel system from World War I under the British supermarket

No one knows the sinking hole in the car park of Primark supermarket in Kent, he revealed a complex tunnel system that was supposed to be built from two world wars.

Historical experts believe that this tunnel system may have been used in both world wars. Beneath the tunnel, metal bins and sinks were found for the first time in 2015 at Westwood Cross.

According to experts, the British military may have used these tunnels for training purposes. However, the tunnel system built before World War I or later built to prepare for future conflicts is still controversial.

According to KentLive, a request for freedom of information was sent to the UK Department of Defense to understand the origin of the tunnels. However, the Ministry of Defense said there was no record of the information about this tunnel system.

Thanet Hidden History - the group that discovered the system in 2015 - believed that there was a bomb shelter hidden under the shopping center that had been sealed over the years to avoid further damage.

Primark supermarket was built above from 2011 and has just reopened at the end of July, after closing in May 2017 because of subsidence. At that time, customers were still unaware of history at their feet.
