NASA invited Thai officials to test SEAC4RS

According to a reporter in Thailand, NASA has invited the official to inspect the aircraft and interview scientists related to the plan to use U-Tapao airport as a center to conduct research. Climate and rain cloud conditions in Southeast Asia (SEAC4RS).

SEAC4RS Project Manager Hal Maring said that, given concerns about the hidden ' spy mission ', NASA was ready to explain details about the flying vehicle and the sensors that will be used in the project.

Rejecting concerns about Thai sovereignty as well as intelligence gathering for China and other countries, Hal Maring asserted that NASA is a civilian, non-US military agency. .

The basic objective of this agency is to study systems related to the earth for the common good of all humanity. Therefore, Mr. Hal Maring hopes the Thai government will approve NASA's proposal for the scientific significance of the project.

Meanwhile NASA projects are also receiving support from the Thai people. According to an Abac Center survey published on June 24, 63.5% of respondents agreed to allow NASA to use U-Tapao airport to study climate weather; and 70.8% said they were willing to agree with any country to help Thailand study the atmosphere.
