Nurses are taking care of the boy Ronarit Benpad, seven years old, with bird flu.His father died last week because of this epidemic

According to Dr. Thawat Suntrajarn, Director General of the Thai Disease Control Agency, until yesterday, the boy with the H5N1 virus no longer had a fever and is expected to be discharged after 21 days of isolation.

The child's father, a 48-year-old man, died last week and was the first bird flu death after more than a year in Thailand.

Both father and son spread the disease after contact with sick birds of neighboring houses. Health officials claim that infected birds are the main source of infection for the father and son, not the case of human-to-human infection.

Health experts are warning about the possibility that the H5N1 variant, which causes human-to-human infection, will spread a pandemic worldwide.
