Nearly 30kg of garbage in the belly of a fish floating on the coast
After an autopsy of a sperm whale washed up on the Spanish coast, people found nearly 30kg of plastic waste in its belly.
CNN reported that on February 27, a body of sperm whale longer than 10 meters was found floating on the coast of Cabo de Palos, Spain. Scientists are curious to know why the giant fish died.
The food of sperm whales is usually large squid, but the corpses of the sperm are found to be unusually thin, suggesting that the fish has been starving for too long.
Last week, after the autopsy of the ill-fated fish, it was found that the fish was nearly 30kg of garbage in the abdomen, most of them were plastic bags, besides there were ropes, some fishing nets and many other waste.

Local authorities said the fish died of an infection in the abdomen. Because it cannot digest the waste it swallowed, it leads to intestinal perforation.
The case of sperm whales is of great interest not only because it is an endangered animal, but also because it is a scary reminder of the huge amount of waste people are throwing away every day. out in the ocean.

After this incident, the city of Murcia must launch a campaign to clean up the beaches. Environmental director at Murcia said:
'is the biggest threat to wildlife conservation in the world, because so many animals are trapped in plastic bags or by eating garbage causing pitiful deaths'.
There are 150 million tons of plastic waste floating in the ocean, and every year there are 8 million tons of new garbage thrown into the sea.
Plastic waste is seriously affecting the lives of wild marine animals, while also affecting the food chain of these animals.
When marine animals are exposed to toxic chemicals, the next person must take the consequence that humans eat food made from the poisoned animals.
