New cause of the death of the Otzi gang

Scientists have just given the reason for the death of the 5,300-year-old ice-cream, due to being killed by a punch in the head, not by being shot by an arrow.

Since the Otzi corpses have been found in the Alps two decades ago, scientists have explored the causes of the corpses' bodies being buried between the Austrian and Italian borders more than 5,300 years ago, as well. as the cause of death.

According to one study, the gap was found in the collarbone of the ice and the scientists concluded, this person died of the arrow. Soon after, another study with a scanner showed that he died of a fall.

The ice cells' blood cells were studied

Most recently, a study from the European Academy of Bolzano / Bozen (EURAC), Germany said that a blow to the head was the main cause of the death of the Otzi gang . Other research groups from Saarland University and Kiel University used an endoscope to check the mummies from the glacier.

Microbiologist Frank Maixner and scientist Andreas Tholey conduct complex protein studies, called 'proteomes' . From this study, scientists identified a number of blood samples, protein cells in brain tissue.

Later, they found frozen blood cells looking under a microscope. These blood-clotting cells show that the otzi band's brain has been severely impacted before death.

This is a breakthrough discovery not only in the case of the Otzi gang.

Tholey said: 'It has allowed us to pioneer protein studies on mummies, from the smallest samples to a large amount of data that can answer future questions'.

In 1997, archaeologists believed that Otzi was killed because the arrow shot below the left collarbone, losing too much blood. This information is published in an article by the Journal of Archaeological Science.

In 2001, scientists from Austria's Innsbruck University used a CAT scan machine to scan Otzi tapes. They discovered black spots at the back of Otzi's brain and concluded that the Otzi band died of injuries after the head.

There are many opinions that, after winning a name, or climbing a mountain, the Otzi tape was injured.

Scientists predict that the Otzi tape died at age 45 and Otzi was kept in a specially built museum in Bolzano, Italy. Guests watch mummies in a special room.

Otzi people suffer from bad breath and tooth decay

Another study found that ice men never clean their teeth, and suffer from bad breath.

Zurick University studies said, Otzi suffered from tooth decay, and a damaged incisor could be due to an accident.

Professor Frank Rühli, the head of the study, said: "Otzi has serious dental problems. There have been some bone injuries - some serious - muscle injuries and a broken incisor, perhaps by accident ".
