New discoveries about human intelligence

Human intelligence can no longer be explained by relying on the growth in the size of the frontal lobe.

>>>Modern people are not as smart as 19th century people?

Experts from the University of Durham and Reading (UK) conducted a study to compare the size of the frontal lobes in humans with other species. The conclusion here is that the frontal lobe in humans does not develop asymmetry compared to other areas of the brain.

Therefore, the size of the frontal lobe is not the only cause behind the ability to perceive superiority beyond all human species, but other areas like the cerebellum are of similar importance.

'Perhaps the most common assumption about human brain development is that all size growth focuses on the frontal lobe' , according to Phys.Org quoted anthropologist Robert Baron of Durham University.

According to the widely recognized hypothesis, the frontal lobe extension is especially important for the development of behavior, thinking and language of modern people.

However, new research has shown that the structure of the entire brain system plays a key role in cognitive function, not because of size development in a particular area.
