Experts from the University of Oxford and Southampton have developed a new imaging system aimed at capturing the most important documents in history, according to the New Scientist.
This technology, called transduced image processing , uses a dome with 76 lights, and puts the camcorder at the top of the dome.

The manuscript will be placed in the center of the dome, then the camera will take turns documenting in the light of just one light being turned on each time. Thus, a total of 76 photographs will be taken for each document surface.
When combined, these 76 images will provide a whole new look for professionals, helping them "see through" previously unrecognized details, exploiting the difference between light and photo.
Among the documents analyzed by the new system, experts are trying to understand an ancient Iranian writings from 3,200 BC to 3,000 BC.
According to the original information, the images are very impressive, extremely sharp, and experts are analyzing each small point on the document hoping to soon decipher this rare material.
