Newborn baby carries two fetuses
Pakistani doctors operated on a 2-month-old girl yesterday to remove two fetuses that have grown in her body since she was still in her womb.

Zaheer Abbasi - Head of the pediatric surgery department at the hospital, the surgical team leader, said it was the first pregnancy in his pregnancy in Pakistan - the state of a fetus growing inside another fetus in the womb.
"The case of having two pregnancies developed in another pregnancy is extremely rare," said Abbasi, who said he was not sure the cause of the abnormality. "Basically, it's a triple birth, but two pregnancies grow up in the other."
The baby came from Abbotabad, about 48 km north of Islamabad. She is the fifth child of a woman in her thirties. The doctor said that the surgery removed two uncompleted big pregnancies, weighing a total of 0.9 kg and died about 4 months old.
Other pregnancies in pregnancy also appear in many parts of the world. The 2000 report of the American Journal of Pediatrics called these cases rare and an estimated 1 / 500,000 births.
