No body parts are okay

Through evolution and natural selection, some organs in the human body appear more or disappear to form a complete body apparatus. However there are some parts that defy this natural selection rule and continue to exist in the body even though they do not perform any major function.

Although these parts are not important, but because the human body is a system, they must be kept healthy because if problems occur, they will have significant effects on general health.

1. The appendix

It is a small bag attached to the large intestine, has no effect on digestive support and 1 in 20 people must be removed. However, in plants that specialize in vertebrate feeding, it is an indispensable part of the digestive system. A 2009 study demonstrating appendicitis is not always useless when thought to be an important place for beneficial bacteria to prevent the development of diarrhea.

Human ancestors once had a tail, however it disappeared for a long time. Over the course of evolution, the remnant is the so-called tailbone. For many mammals, the tail works to balance the body. Therefore, when people start to walk with their legs, the tail also becomes useless.

You may be surprised, but the fact is that the male nipples form from the very beginning in the womb. At this time, the sex of the fetus is still unclear because basically every fetus is initially female and will gradually develop into a boy or a girl depending on the amount of testosterone. That is why some men are able to produce milk and the risk of breast cancer is not small either.

For many species, when necessary, thin filamentous erector pili layers will make the hair stand up, making them appear larger. However, that only really works for furry animals, not humans.

This is a small fold of tissue in the eye. Scientists believe that it is a vestige of the third eyelid. Today, it helps tears escape and pushes foreign objects into the eyes.

6. Wisdom teeth

Although it also has a specific role, but not useless, but mentioning wisdom teeth is the thought of pain. Over time, the jaw in humans becomes smaller and therefore the wisdom tooth has no room for development. In addition, oral hygiene is also part of the cause because when children were young, people used to pluck a lot of teeth, permanent teeth that grew up then occupied all the ' living land ' of wisdom teeth.

Located just behind the tongue, on the palate bone, the tonsils are part of the lymphatic system. It is thought to work to prevent dust and bacteria from entering the body through the mouth. However, scientists still do not find the exact functions and reasons necessary for the agency's existence.
