The Procyon lotor can live almost anywhere: in the forest, in the farm, in the suburbs, in the inner city. They are still wild and crowded right in New York City, instead of sleeping on trees, they can sleep in chimneys or under sewers.

Like many wild animals, they can get rabies and cough - these diseases can spread to humans. A Procyon lotor raccoon suddenly went straight to the humans, it was when he was sick and wanted to ask people to look after him.

North American pandas vary in size from where they live: those who live in the north are often bigger than those living in the south. But on average, their bodies are about 60cm long, about 30 cm long with a tail, weighing about 12kg.

They feed on both mixed animals and plants, on land and in water: frogs, fish, mice, birds, turtle eggs, nuts, seeds, berries, insects, they can even eat some snakes. Because the natural environment is increasingly devastating, they turn to live close to humans and can almost eat all kinds of human food. They also eat rotten food in trash cans, and eat animals that are rolled by vehicles on the road. Therefore, sometimes they are also car rolled, in addition, when rabies disease, they also easily become victims of vehicles.

They have a very strange habit: Wash food before eating, but if no water is found they will clean it with their hands. Scientists think they wash food because it removes other dangerous bones or other sharp things from food. Their scientific name "lotor" refers to the image of a person washing something.

Procyon lotor raccoon does not hibernate but also knows how to store fat in summer and autumn to keep warm in winter. In freezing weather, they sleep for many days but do not have to hibernate.

Each foot has five toes with curved claws, no soles on the feet, the front limbs used as human hands, can snatch, feel and grasp everything. The long and clever fingers can help them unlock the door, open the knot, turn the knob, open the cork, . Due to two dark spots around the eyes, this curious and mischievous animal gets many writers the story of animals attributed to the bad: the bandit.

Male pandas are usually in their territory and are always looking for ways to protect others from entering. They find you paired in spring and summer, but this varies depending on where they live. Children born 1 year each year, each litter from 3-6 children. Pregnancy is about 36 days. The young begin to open their eyes at 3 weeks of age, go out with their mother when they are 2 months old and stay with their mothers until the fall. Females mature at 1 year of age, while males mature at about 2 years of age.

Daddy panda does not take care of the baby and even attacks his son, so he must do the task of chasing the father to go elsewhere to protect the children.

North American pandas climb well and are unharmed when dropped from a height of 13m to the ground. They also swim well and only swim when necessary. When needed, they can run fast at about 24km / hour, but they don't move much. Normally, they walk on 4 feet, standing up straight to look.

This incredible bear works mainly at night and prefers to live alone rather than live in a herd. Usually only see them as groups when pandas feed their babies. They rarely go out during the day, often destroying fruits and crops at night.

There are many young pandas like domestic pets, very mature when they are cornered. Some types of dogs can win over North American pandas, but if they are under dog water, they can be drowned by these mischievous animals.

The lifespan of Procyon lotor is over 20 years, previously distributed mainly from South Canada to Panama. Now they have been brought to Europe and Asia by humans.
