Nuclear power plant will be built in turn-key area

The first nuclear power plant in Vietnam will be built in 2015 and put into operation in 2020 by turnkey method. This is the content of VN Atomic Energy Strategy, which has been approved by the Government.

Also according to the "Strategy for peaceful use of nuclear energy by 2020", Vietnam aims to increase the percentage of nuclear power to about 11% of the total national electricity in 2025 and 25-30%. 2040-2050.

Besides nuclear power, atomic energy is also widely used in other areas of life such as health, agriculture, geology, mineral exploration . (in this form it is called energy. radiation amount). In Vietnam, the health sector employs nearly 90% of radiation facilities, the rest is industry and other industries.

Therefore, the Strategy also set a target that by 2010, Vietnam will produce half of its demand for isotopes and radioactive substances, half of the provinces have a base of nuclear medicine and radiotherapy. and by 2020, the target for these two categories is 100%.
