The cost for the entire project is estimated at US $ 29.4 billion.

Nuclear power plants are considered to be a national strategic project to cut carbon dioxide emissions into the environment, a goal that is difficult to achieve if it still maintains the production energy source from coal. 94% of Poland and the nation's electricity is 38 million people, mainly relying on huge coal reserves. At the same time reduce energy dependence on other countries. Currently 40% of Ban Lan's gas is imported from Russia.

Poland joined the European Union in 2004 to enlist support from European countries in the construction of two 3,000 megawatt nuclear reactors.

Some companies from Japan, France, and the US are very interested in this project.
