Nylon bag filled with whale belly washed up on the Norwegian coast
Norwegian researchers were amazed to discover more than 30 plastic bags and many plastic waste in the stomach of a stranded whale.

The whale consumes huge amounts of non-biodegradable waste and runs aground in shallow waters of Sotra Island, western Norway, Norway Today yesterday reported.The coast guard was forced to kill the animal because it was too sick.
Researchers at the University of Bergen, Norway analyzed the whale's stomach and found large amounts of plastic waste. They found that finding nylon bags in the whale's abdomen was not unexpected when the amount of waste discharged into the sea increased.
According to Dr. Terje Lislevand, the zoologist in the research group, gut the whale filled with nylon bags printed with Danish and British brands. Plastic waste can accumulate gradually in its belly, causing severe pain. It also scratches the body with very little fat, indicating malnutrition.

The whale of the Cuvier whale, whale can reach nearly 7 m, often eating squid and deep-sea fish. They do not usually appear in Norwegian waters.
