Quang Binh: White whale weighs 10 tons washed up on the coast

People in Lien Nam and Nam Tien villages in Ngu Thuy Nam commune (Le Thuy) discovered a white whale's body washed up on Ngu Thuy Nam coast (photo) on the evening of January 20.

Although the head and tail were lost, the whale was still more than 15 meters long, weighing over 10 tons. On the fish body, there are also many stains that scratch the skin.

According to the Provincial Department of Fisheries, this is a rare species of white whale, likely to have been hunted in Pacific waters. Currently the relevant agencies in the province are protecting and maintaining the body of fish; At the same time, a dispatch was sent to the Vietnam Institute of Oceanography to study.
