Office also has a copy protection program like Windows
Following the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) counterfeit software restriction tool, Microsoft continues to release the Office Genuine Advantage (OGA) program to prevent unauthorized copying of new generation office applications.
Starting in January 2007, users will have to validate the Office 2007 software before joining the Office Update service or downloading new product features.
The American Software Group said that testing will take place "quickly and simply" so people don't feel inconvenient. OGA is currently tested in 26 different languages.
Microsoft has decided to act aggressively even though their WGA project has annoyed users since its appearance in July 2005. The company has also directly integrated pirated Windows testing tools into the Vista operating system.
Within 30 days from the time of purchasing the software, customers must activate Vista with a legitimate lock, otherwise the operating system will switch to functional restriction mode. In that mode, the user can only browse the web within an hour before the system automatically exits. If they want to continue accessing the Internet, they must log in from the beginning.
