On March 19, solar eclipse can be observed in Vietnam
According to the scientists' announcement: On March 19, a partial eclipse will appear in Asia. Specifically, this phenomenon will start in South Asia and gradually be found in most countries, including Vietnam.
This special natural phenomenon will be visible in HCMC at 8: 20 minutes; at Hue at 8:30 and in Hanoi at 8:37.
According to Professor Tran Manh Tuan (Center for Science and Technology of Vietnam), solar eclipse is a natural phenomenon that can be fully calculated, based on the rules of movement of the sun, moon and earth.
Because of the natural phenomenon, eclipse does not affect human health as well as crops. However, when observing this phenomenon, special glasses or non-visual methods (through the water bath) are required.
According to GS Tuan, a solar eclipse appears a lot, while a total solar eclipse appears very little. According to calculations, on August 1, 2008, a total solar eclipse will appear.
