Transwhee l is shaped like an unmanned version of a Ryno single-wheeled electric vehicle, with robotic arm parts to support the package. The car also has a camera system to avoid obstacles, self-control when joining traffic and recognizing the face of the recipient.

Compared to unmanned aircraft that are often limited in size and weight, Transwheels can be assembled into a versatile transport system to carry large parcels. In Shikar's simulated video, 12 Transwheels were used to carry a container.

BBC said yesterday that no company has plans to produce Transwheel, but the idea is said to be far beyond science fiction.
