Even so, the US is still the leading country with 152 million online users, followed by China (72 million) and Japan (52 million). Standing in the following positions are Germany with 32 million Internet users, the UK (30 million), South Korea (24.6 million), France (23.9 million), Canada (19 million), Italy (16, 8 million) and India (16.7 million).

According to a statistics of BSA Software Business Association, currently only about 5 million Vietnamese people use the Internet regularly, mainly at public access points such as Internet cafe.

However, Israelis are the most time-consuming people wandering online. On average, they spend about 57.5 hours per month connecting to the Internet, twice as much as Americans. Finland ranks second, followed by South Korea, the Netherlands and Taiwan. The US did not even reach the list of 15 countries with the most number of hours of monthly access.

The comScore Networks study also confirmed that Microsoft's MSN site is at the top of its popularity and attracts 538.6 million users, followed by Google (495.8 million) and Yahoo (480.2 million).
