Mr. Ta Ba Hung, Director of the National Center for Scientific and Technological Information, said that Vietnam now has two types of technology markets, playing the role of brokerage centers to promote sales and introduction of products. Technology products are Techmart (real market) that takes place on a national scale, regional or local and virtual Techmart (virtual market online).

However, real Techmart usually only takes place in 3-4 days, can not be organized regularly and everywhere, virtual Techmart, not everyone has the conditions to go online. Therefore, the Center for Technology Transactions was born as an integration of all 3 things: A place to display technology products and equipment; Is the place to access virtual Techmart; and a place of advice and support for businesses in negotiating and signing contracts . This center is fixed, so it will overcome the disadvantages of the other two types.

" In Beijing, Shanghai and major cities of China, technology trading centers are very active and efficient. Korea and Japan have gone far in this area, their markets have very developed, and the form as we are today is that they have long passed , "said Mr. Ta Ba Hung.

In the coming time, at this national trading center, it will periodically introduce technologies and equipment of typical nature and spreading nature. Depending on the needs, the Center can also organize consultative conferences for businesses, such as overcoming technical barriers to trade, intellectual property issues .

Mr. Hung also said that Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are preparing the procedures to soon open similar centers, followed by Da Nang, Hai Phong and some big cities. It will be a system of "wholesale markets", helping people in the regions to easily access technology products. However, the hub will not replace the Techmart.

It is expected that in the first year of operation of the center, businesses will be provided with free information or at very low prices. After that, the center operated according to the law of market supply and demand.
