The first satellite navigation technology center in Vietnam
On October 1, the Hanoi University of Technology and the European Union inaugurated the Southeast Asia Center for the First Research and Development of Satellite Positioning Technology (NAVIS) and the third center. on the world.
This is the result of the joint efforts of leading technical universities in Europe and Asia, including the Torino Polytechnic University, the ISMB Research Institute - Torino (Italy); Polytechnic University Catalunya (Spain); France-Comté University, France, Asian Institute of Technology - AIT (Thailand) and Hanoi University of Technology.
The center will provide training, scientific research, and technology transfer in the field of positioning technology using satellites, especially the global GALILEO positioning system of Europe, in Southeast Asian countries to build set up an Asia-Europe cooperation environment and other countries on satellite navigation technology.

According to representatives of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, NAVIS is the first center in Asia and the third center in the world specializing in global positioning using Galileo satellites, located at 6th floor Ta Quang electronic library.
