In the temples in some places such as India, Srilanca, Myanmar where the Bodhi Tree is planted (Ficus reliosa.Linn). In the book of the Bodhi Tree is called the "Enlightenment Tree". Buddhists consider Bodhi as a Buddha tree. It is said that the Buddha-Sakyamuni Buddha cultivates itself at the root of the Bodhi Tree.

Bodhi is woody, evergreen, mulberry family, about 15m high, 2m in diameter. The bark is light yellow, the trunk is not rounded. Branches have aerial roots that grow down like beards, branches on the branches spread out around, round foliage or inverted egg shape, shaded. Leaves grow out, triangles are dark blue, glossy, not dust catches. Beautiful Bodhi leaves should still be used for poetry and painting. Flowers grow in leaf axils and hide themselves. Fruit hidden, round and flat, ripe in winter.

The trunk has plastic, which can be processed into hard rubber. Flowers can be used as medicine, have the effect of reducing fever, sweating.
