Paint changes color according to light, temperature

French scientists have just invented

French scientists have invented "smart dye" - a type of paint that can change color according to temperature, pressure or light and can be used indefinitely.

France invented smart paint that can change colors by itself

The new paint is the invention of the French company Olikrom. According to the inventor's representative, depending on the application formula, these pigments will adapt and change color according to temperature, light or pressure.

This paint has a lot of practical applications, such as helping to identify when the device heats up or whether the tennis ball bounces off the limit line on the pitch during a match.

Smart dyes can also be used for safety equipment such as helmets. Specifically, we can know the protection of the hat if the cap changes color (such as from yellow to orange) when damaged (due to impact force) inside.

The inventors have planned smart paint applications for many other products, including luxury items such as champagne. For example, if the temperature grows abnormally, a new line may appear on the bar code, making the champagne bottle unable to scan the code and leaving the store.

For fabrics, we can also put smart pigments into fabric fibers. That will help your clothes change color according to variations in temperature or light.
